Dr Hermann Van Ahlen, University of Muenster , Germany stated that Levitra was well-tolerated and is efficient in giving erection when used with those drugs for the treatment of hypertension . However newer anti-hypertensive drugs including angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors and angiotensin-receptor blockers (ARBs) are less probable to induce impotency.

The efficacy of Levitra has equipped the physicians with the treatment of hypertension as well as erectile dysfunction. Dr. Matthew Rosenberg is very confident about helping his patients with hypertension and erectile dysfunction induced by the condition.

A study conducted in Germany by Dr Hermann Van Ahlen involved 354 patients above the age of 18 years with an experience of erectile dysfunction for more than 6 months. NAION patients would have suffered from the same ailment even if they haven’t taken Levitra at any point of time in their lives. It is just a matter of coincidence with patients of erectile dysfunction and NAION falling under the same age category.
As per the ruling of the FDA, Bayer and GlaxosmithKline have included information on the possible occurrence of NAION on the Levitra labels. Nevertheless, if you face a sudden vision loss, discontinue the use of Levitra and seek emergency medical help.
