Levitra Maker Changes Structure

Sunday, November 30th, 2008

The makers of the erectile dysfunction drug Levitra namely Bayer have been reorganizing their drugs business and have decided to setup a new Men’s Healthcare section within the company.  What they have decided to do is group the 3 urology medications that they produce into one division. What this means is that the erectile dysfunction drug Levitra as well as a treatment called Testogel that is a testosterone replacement therapy and lastly another treatment called Nebido which is a testosterone deficiency medicine will be under one umbrella and in one division.
Bayer said that this will be very useful to doctors and healthcare professionals who will now be able to have a complete package of medication and treatment for men who suffer from erectile dysfunction. Testosterone can help improve the libido and sexual desire of some men and along with the Levitra drug can mean that a man can restore himself back to a healthy sexual function.

Along with all manufacturers of erectile dysfunction medication, Bayer is very keen to improve the sales of its drug Levitra.  In view of this it is setting up a three year research project for Levitra which is called REPEAT. The idea is that feedback from patients and their partners will be made available to doctors as well as Bayer in order to improve the way that they prescribe and promote the erectile dysfunction medication Levitra.

Despite the fact that Levitra is the least well known impotence drug it is as effective as Viagra and this has been proven by a number of clinical tests where men were asked for feedback on the use of an impotence drug not knowing whether it was in fact Levitra or Viagra. In some cases the men said that they actually had better results with the Levitra drug then they had with the Viagra drug.

Levitra New Adverts

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

GSK along with Schering-Plough have just released a television advertisement for male impotence drug Levitra in a joint statement from the two companies. This advertising campaign tells of a change of direction for marketing the 3rd most popular erectile dysfunction drug which has been known for stressing education and knowledge about impotence and all types of sexual dyfunction.

A senior GSK spokesman said that in the first quarter of 2005 it looked like Levitra will see a 2.5 percent boost the market share of the erectile dysfunction prescriptions market. GSK and Schering market Levitra under a license from Bayer and previously had cut all Levitra adverts that mentioned the drug. Instead they were using an educational televison “infomercial” that gave advice and suggested that men with erectile problems could look at a website set up by them. The site in question gave all ED info, including blood pressure, diabetic and other factors that can result in erectile dysfunction. The site did not actually promote Levitra directly.

While this campaign produced good results and was working, it was only targeting a section of the market. The new adverts however are designed to reach out to those men who already know all about erectile dysfunction and may have already tried remedies and might want to try Levitra. This overall strategy is to locate all sections of the erectile dysfunction market so that a big market share may be gained.

The new advertisment shows 2 men talking saying that they were unaware that excess blood pressure and being a diabetic could cause impotence. The strapline underneath states that… the more you learn about ED, the more you will want to learn about Levitra.

Levitra has been found to be particlarily effective for men who have impotence as a result or side effect of other medicines they use. The spokesman said this claim was backed up by independent clinical information.

Levitra’s advert budget was in the region of fifty million dollars last year and could rise if the present campaigns are successful.

Fake Levitra And Other Drugs Seized In Dubai

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

A huge haul of fake erectile dysfunction medication has been confiscated in Dubai by the customs authorities there in what is the second big drug bust in a month. Over 5 million “sexual stimulant” pills and sleeping pills estimated to be worth in the region of £3million were confiscated in a daring raid carried out by inspectors from the Dubai Customs.
Dubai operates special Free Zone areas that allow cargo to be shipped easily to and from them and this makes them very attractive for people tried to smuggle the erectile dysfunction medication around the world. The law in Dubai also says that if you ship anything to Dubai free zones you can then stamp the products with a point of origin label stating that the product came from Dubai and not from the country that they are actually originated from. Many manufacturers of fake erectile dysfunction medication therefore are shipping the fake drugs to Dubai so that they do not seem to have originated in India or China which makes western customs authorities extremely suspicious.

Among other things the customs investigators found large quantities of the Levitra erectile dysfunction drug made by the German drug company Bayer. Levitra is fast becoming one of the globe’s most popular erectile dysfunction medications and has been proven in independent testing to be just as effective as Viagra.

The customs authorities of Dubai have been destroying the confiscated medications and will carry on doing so in the future.  The head of the Dubai customs said that he was extremely happy with the result and that he wanted it to be made known that Dubai would not be used as a port of convenience for smugglers of fake erectile dysfunction medication or any other illegal products. This raid was the largest seizure of fake medications in Dubai.
