Levitra The Heart Drug

Friday, December 26th, 2008

Levitra the least known erectile dysfunction medication has been used in a number of medical trials recently done on the heart. The researchers noted that not only did the use of the vardenafil (the active ingredient of Levitra) help when administered before a heart attack but also when given after the heart attack.

In the research human hearts were not studied due to the inherent dangers but animals were used that mimic the human heart closely. It was noted that the Levitra erectile dysfunction drug was more effective in preventing damage to the heart and preventing a heart attack in the first place then nitro-glycerine that is commonly used. The research that was done at Virginia Commonwealth University in the United States concluded that in the future the impotence drug Levitra could work as a heart attack preventer and heart strengthener in men who were at risk due to cardio problems.

After a heart attack the heart muscle is often damaged and this can be a big problem when it comes to the recovery. The animals therefore who were given the Levitra recovered more quickly than those that were not. Viagra the more famous impotence medication was also used in this study and was seen to have an identical effect on the heart muscles as Levitra did. The study has already been made public in the Journal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology and is likely to fuel a whole new set of studies on the connection and use of erectile dysfunction medication on the heart.

If research on the heart and Levitra proves to be conclusive and useful then the earnings for Abbott Laboratories that make Levitra could be enormous and could overtake the amount that they make from selling the drug to men with erectile difficulties.

Levitra, The Unknown Impotence Drug

Wednesday, December 17th, 2008

Levitra is the erectile dysfunction drug that you probably haven’t heard of. Viagra is a household name, Cialis is becoming one but Levitra lags behind in the erectile dysfunction drug stakes. Why is that you may ask? It is not because the drug is not effective or safe, in fact far from it, it is just that Viagra stole the march on the others by being the first to the be on sale which caused a massive media interest and thus it is probably the most famous drug in the world. Even politicians use the word Viagra in speeches to mean a boost, i.e. the economy needs some Viagra etc and they know that the word will get people’s attention too.

Levitra in independent testing was seen to be as effective as Viagra when given to men in controlled clinical tests. In fact one such test that we reported on compared the effectiveness of the Viagra and Levitra drugs in parallel with men being given erectile dysfunction drugs blind and thus they were not aware of whether they were taking the sildenafil drug (Viagra) or the vardenafil drug (Levitra).

Is there a difference between Viagra and Levitra then you might ask? Well from feedback from Ukmedix patients and from the research that we have conducted it seems that some men just find one impotence drug just agrees with them more than another one and there is not really a clear evidence as to why that is the case.

In the same way that some people prefer asprin to panadol some men prefer Levitra to Viagra and scientists just don’t know why. In the case of erectile dysfunction drugs some men say that they get better erections with say Levitra and some men say that they feel less of the minimal side effects with it too. The same goes for Viagra with one man saying that he just could last longer with Viagra and he had no idea why.

In any case it is the doctor who ultimately decides which erectile dysfunction drug you should use but he obviously will be interested and will take note of your feedback before he prescribes any impotence drug for you.

The Quiet Drug Levitra

Wednesday, December 10th, 2008

Viagra is always in the news, whether its is some new research project involving a new use for the sildenafil drug or some copyright issue you can be sure that in some part of the world Viagra is a hot topic of conversation. Levitra on the other hand is the quiet one, rarely getting a mention in the news and quietly being launched in different parts of the world.

Despite this Levitra sells and is making money for Bayer. Levitra often perceived to be the latecomer into the impotence market has been tested alongside Viagra in independent placebo controlled double blind clinical trials and has been seen to be almost identically as effective as Viagra. Some men said that they preferred the Viagra and others said that they preferred the Levitra (they had no idea which was which at the time) and they were just referred to as Tablet 1 and Tablet 2.

It seems that Bayer are concentrating most off their promotion efforts at doctors who are really the ultimate deciders of which erectile dysfunction drug that you will receive as they are the ones that prescribe and effectively give you permission to buy them.

Most men who suffer from impotence will automatically ask a doctor to prescribe Viagra as that is the one they have heard of and very few men will ask for Levitra as they haven’t heard of it or it is just because they associate impotence more with Viagra than they do with Levitra. This is quite normal and by targeting doctors and telling them about the benefits of Levitra, Bayer hope to encourage more doctors to recommend Levitra as an effective alternative to Pfizer’s Viagra.
